About Café Nieuw Amsterdam

Café Nieuw Amsterdam is a place you’ll want to come back to. Whether it’s for lunch inside our beautiful restaurant or out on the terrace, a drink with friends, or a long, laid-back dinner. Our chefs cook with care. No endless menu, just dishes that make sense:
fresh and seasonal.

Our wine list is thoughtfully selected and changes with the seasons. From crisp whites to bold reds that pair perfectly with a good piece of meat or fish.

Fête du Poisson

Friday, June 21st from 12:00 to 22:00 – Fête du Poisson.
We’re celebrating summer with Dutch herring, oysters, shellfish and crevettes.

Long tables, chilled rosé, French tunes and sunshine on your face.
Drop by or reserve your seat at the table. Santé!

Sunday Roast

Every Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00, we serve our Sunday Roast menu, alongside the regular menu. A classic British tradition that brings
friends and family together around the table.

Think roasted chicken, slow-cooked pork belly, seasonal vegetables, crispy potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. The perfect way to wrap up the weekend. Book a table and join us!

Terrace & garden

In addition to our spacious indoor restaurant, you can also sit outside, on the front terrace or in the garden. The garden is a peaceful green hideaway right in the middle of the city. Ideal for lunch, drinks or dinner outdoors. The terrace sits on Haarlemmerstraat.
