Bartender

Café Nieuw Amsterdam, located on Amsterdam’s Haarlemmerstraat, is a modern bistro with a creative menu and an excellent wine selection, all set within the historic walls of Het West-Indisch Huis. Whether guests join us for brunch, lunch, drinks or an elaborate dinner, we make sure they have an unforgettable experience. And you can play a key role in that. We’re looking for an energetic bartender who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and take our bar to the next level.

The role

You are the face of the bar and the calm in the middle of the rush. You keep the team running smoothly, ensure consistently high quality, and create an atmosphere guests love coming back to. You’re hands-on, proactive, and lead by example.

What you’ll do

• Help professionalize the bar’s day-to-day operations
• Oversee cleaning procedures and ensure HACCP standards are followed
• Maintain a clean, efficient and welcoming bar
• Contribute ideas to our drinks menu, from craft beers to signature cocktails

What we’re looking for

• Experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wines and cocktails
• A proactive attitude and attention to detail
• You speak Dutch
